COLLEGE ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS (CASP) serves as an umbrella of the combined efforts of the Texas Association of Developmental Education and the College Reading and Learning Association of Texas.  Our purpose is to provide professional training and programming to collegiate practitioners around our great state.  Members enjoy the camaraderie of our colleagues working in the classroom, in administrative positions, and in all other support areas, including our respected leaders at research institutions.  Our CASP-LISTSERVE provides information on frequent legislative updates affecting our pedagogy with an opportunity to connect with others in the field.  In addition to providing opportunities for learning and involvement in Texas, CASP also promotes our respective national organizations, NADE and CRLA.  Each fall, usually in October, we host the annual CASP Conference in different cities around the state.  Registration to this conference includes an annual membership to both TADE and CRLA of TEXAS.  

Published twice a year during the Spring and Fall academic semesters, the Journal of College Academic Support Programs (J-CASP) publishes articles relevant to developmental education and learning support in Texas. The J-CASP is sponsored and made possible by the Texas Chapter of the College Reading and Learning Association, the Texas Association for Developmental Education, and the Graduate Program in Developmental Education at Texas State University.
